| Responsibilities |
1) Develop strategic global sourcing strategies for key ingredients 2) Identify, develop and nurture value add relationships with key vendors for assigned product groups 3) Cost effectively negotiate and buy ingredients for assigned product groups 4) Manage optimum supply while ensuring appropriate stocks are available to meet demands 5) Identify and capitalize on global procurement synergy with European and Asian buying groups 6) Generate reports from SAP Enterprise Systems to support tactical and long term buying strategies 7) Perform highly specialized functional analysis to support business and provide interpretations of results 8) Liaise with key supply chain and plant production personnel 9) Maintain established network of contacts in dairy and oils industry 10) Make recommendations to VP relating to creative value added sourcing strategies 11) Prepare excel reports, power point presentations and financial report formatting to support departmental reporting requirements 12) Provide professional guidance and support to internal and external customers 13) Initiate, build and maintain relations with variety of institutions to obtain best and most up-to-date statistical information |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) mandatory, preferably in business or food science 2) CPM or other procurement certification 3) Experience in international markets for dairy or edible oils 4) Minimum 10-25 years’ experience required 5) Knowledge of other global butter fats markets an added advantage 6) Seasoned negotiator and dealmaker with established network of contacts in the industry 7) Industry association memberships desirable 8) Bring creative approach to purchasing 9) Fluent in SAP Enterprise Procurement and Inventory Management Systems 10) Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power Point and financial report formatting 11) Fluency in English and French or Spanish an added advantage |
