| Responsibilities |
1) Ensure employees are properly trained and able to maintain required production standards 2) Maintain regular contact with employees and their union 3) Act as key participant in settling of grievances and negotiation of contract renewals 4) Set stretch goals for the facility and regularly monitor progress 5) Ensure all production policies & practices and plant security measures are in place 6) Confirm production requirements are regularly met or exceeded 7) Regularly inspect and track waste and water usage, energy consumption, shrinkage, benchmarking of standards, inventory levels, etc. 8) Conduct regular meetings with supervisors 9) Work with distribution manager to establish standards of performance 10) Monitor efficiency of delivery routes where applicable 11) Conduct scheduled driver meetings to ensure relationships among drivers, producers and customers are maintained at high level 12) Set overall shipping and receiving standards and monitor closely 13) Ensure Shipping and Receiving integrate with other operating functions 14) Oversee HACCP team and program 15) Implement preventative maintenance program 16) Train maintenance employees to maintain facilities, grounds, plant, etc. 17) Maintain all established environmental regulations and track performance 18) Monitor injuries and lost time accidents, taking necessary step to eliminate hazardous situations or operations 19) Deal with provincial workers compensation boards and ensure thorough implementation of all recommendations and regulations |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) mandatory 2) Background in either plant or operations management 3) Food experience in egg preferred 4) Minimum 5-20 years’ experience |
