| Responsibilities |
1) Monitor safety performance, taking appropriate action to commend safe work practices and resolve all safety infractions 2) Retain and determine disposition of all non-conforming products 3) Ensure quality control activities conform to standards 4) Develop, train, communicate and audit quality control processes 5) Lead positive resolution of QC-related customer complaints 6) Resolve regulatory compliance issues 7) Perform quality, safety, product and process audits to maintain a wholesome, safe meat product 8) Supervise QC technicians to ensure timely completion of testing and QC activities 9) Implement and maintain company’s HACCP plan 10) Ensure regulatory compliance by reviewing and revising SOPs and GMPs 11) Coordinate response for customer and regulatory audits 12) Support sales and QC processes for new product development 13) Manage pest control program |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) in Biology or related science 2) Meat experience, preferably in "portion controlled" meat 3) HACCP knowledge a must 4) 3+ years’ Quality Management experience 5) Minimum 5-30 years’ experience 6) Analytical, organizational, leadership and problem solving skills 7) Strong supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills 8) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products 9) Bi-lingual with English and Spanish |
