Position Location
Process Improvement Manager Ontario
Salary Reports to
Commensurate with experience Plant Manager
Responsibilities
1) Facilitate development and implementation of programs to improve plant reliability
2) Address key operational performance metrics in reliability improvement plans
3) Work with plant management to set actionable plans in place
4) Refine downtime collection process and support plant staff in analyzing downtime, determining root causes and recommending long-term solutions
5) Lead plant efforts to reduce process variability leading to waste, rate loss or compromised quality
6) Facilitate process improvement teams and train them in advanced concepts
7) Lead efforts to ensure SOPs are in place to sustain process performance improvements
8) Encourage sharing of best practices between plants
9) Support Maintenance and Engineering efforts to properly schedule and execute preventative maintenance
10) Use fact-based approach with data/statistical analysis to improve existing maintenance programs
Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) in Engineering or Food Science mandatory
2) Bilingual with French and English
3) 5 years’ Operations or Engineering experience
4) Proven ability in improving reliability operations through practical use Six-Sigma, Total Quality, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, etc.
5) Strong analytical skills and fact-based decision making capability
6) Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (oral & written)
7) Well developed computer skills in excel and access
8) Strong leadership drive
