| Responsibilities |
1) Set customer fulfillment and inventory deployment strategies
2) Develop long-range storage capacity and facility throughput requirements
3) Survey warehouse locations and recommend improvements for increased capacity and timely response to customer requirements
4) Evaluate existing modes of transportation and negotiate cost-effective contracts
5) Develop long-range transportation plans
6) Provide input into and manage capital budget
7) Achieve cost-saving initiatives
8) Analyze operating results v/s operating plan
9) Keep abreast of technological developments
10) Conduct operational reviews, analyze results and recommend improvements |
| Requirements |
1) At least 5-7 years’ experience in distribution or transportation, preferably in consumer- packaging environment
2) Minimum 5-25 years’ experience required
3) Background in warehousing of dry and refrigerated products
4) Analytical skills
5) Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams
6) Excellent oral and written communications skills
7) Understanding of computer-based management systems
8) Professional membership such as APICS
9) Familiarity with ERP solutions and SAP software preferred
10) Warehouse and distribution experience with large warehouses
11) Experience with packaging, material management and transportation |
