| Responsibilities |
1) Analyze contractual commitments, customer specifications, and production needs to plan and develop logistic program activities 2) Develop and implement policies, procedures, methods, standards and logistics program activities 3) Coordinate efforts of subcontractors, production departments, and field service personnel 4) Resolve problems in area of logistics to ensure meeting of contractual commitments 5) Establish domestic and international carrier base for efficient movement of company materials 6) Develop and maintain complete understanding of international transportation and importation requirements 7) Develop and maintain most efficient transportation lanes for movement of materials and products 8) Determine warehousing and distribution strategies 9) Compile numerical and statistical data to expedite logistics activities 10) Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology to improve logistics processes 11) Prepare and present monthly logistics cost management reports 12) Conduct rate analysis and negotiations 13) Leverage amount and volume of freight to establish optimal contracts with carriers 14) Prepare logistics reports for executive review |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) mandatory 2) Experience designing, directing, implementing and managing logistics programs 3) Complete understanding of corporate logistical programs 4) Strong management/supervision experience with Warehousing and Transportation, Distribution, etc. 5) Experience in multi-logistics projects in domestic and international markets 6) Minimum 7-30 years’ experience preferred 7) Ability to interpret variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form 8) Excellent customer service skills, attention to project detail and 9) Ready to travel 25% of the time 10) Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in limited standardization |
