| Responsibilities |
1) Establish and implement production, safety, personnel and QC standards 2) Maintain HACCP, GMP, FDA, IMS, state regulatory, product, personnel policy and safety standards according to established guidelines 3) Develop budget and handle cost control 4) Obtain and review data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of products ordered 5) Review and approve payroll changes and job bids 6) Monitor and maintain compliance with interview, hiring and personnel policies and procedures 7) Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities 8) Establish maintenance priorities and schedules in consultation with Maintenance Superintendent 9) Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, QC and safety activities 10) Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformities 11) Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality 12) Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment 13) Maintain conformity with union labor contract, review grievances and refer unresolved grievances for management – union disposition 14) Coach, motivate and hold employees and subordinates accountable to achieve SOPs and desired objectives |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) preferred 2) Dairy experience 3) 5+ years’ plant/operations management background 4) Thorough knowledge of HACCP 5) Minimum 7-30 years’ experience preferred 6) Ability to troubleshoot, and apply judgment to implement sound solutions to problems |
