| Responsibilities |
1) Supervise department and ensure production goals are met 2) Oversee maintenance technicians, mechanics and electricians 3) Observe and correct unsafe acts and conditions 4) Orient and train employees 5) Maintain good housekeeping 6) Conduct periodic safety inspections of production area and equipment 7) Investigate all accidents/incidents in area of responsibility and ensure action is taken to correct any deficiencies 8) Conduct periodic inspections of safety and emergency equipment 9) Ensure prompt first aid of all injuries 10) Enforce safety rules 11) Communicate safety information to employees, including descriptions of relevant accidents |
| Requirements |
1) Meat processing background 2) Experience with food industry equipment maintenance 3) Refrigeration and cooling equipment knowledge 4) Minimum 5-20 years’ experience preferred |
