| Responsibilities |
1) Create preliminary as well as detailed designs of building structures and retaining walls
2) Check designs and drawings
3) Review shop drawings
4) Make quantity calculations
5) Handle specifications and contract document preparation
6) Conduct structural assessments/inspections
7) Prepare reports and proposals |
| Requirements |
1) BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural design
2) PE license (in any state)
3) Minimum 5 years of experience in building design (not bridge design)
4) Concrete design experience preferred
5) Knowledge of AutoCAD and various software programs (RAM and Staad)
6) Ability to mentor young engineers (for engineers with significant experience)
7) Good written and verbal communication skills |
