About our client
Our client is a full service infrastructure development company that provides innovative strategic plans for the creation, management, and operation of a wide variety of projects. It has business units involved in aggregate production, road building, waste management, and land development.

Salary Reports to

Responsibilities
1) Coordinate and monitor the financial as well as operational functions of complex construction projects to ensure work is completed according to specifications
2) Schedule and coordinate resources as well as field services to ensure projects are completed on schedule, and specifications are adhered to
3) Ensure health and safety as well as environmental policies and procedures are adhered to
4) Monitor and maintain positive relationships with partners, suppliers, contractors, consultants, clients, and prospects to ensure operations run smoothly
5) Ensure that projects are operating in accordance with all legislated regulations
6) Resolve concerns promptly and efficiently
7) Develop potential future business opportunities
8) Monitor cost control systems related to the business (as a whole)
9) Develop operational budgets for approval
10) Issue monthly invoices and purchase orders to ensure budget compliance
11) Liaise with municipalities and government regulatory agencies (as required) to secure permits/approvals
12) Prepare or support others in the preparation of proposals and tenders to attain work
13) Handle project estimation and pricing, work plans, and schedule documentation as well as drawing review
14) Track current market conditions and trends to identify potential business development and opportunities
15) Participate in industry associations and committees to establish potential sales leads so as to develop and foster relationships, and promote business opportunities
16) Oversee workloads and supervise staff to ensure that work is done accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, etc.
17) Provide guidance and motivation as well as make performance reviews
18) Handle the hiring and termination of employees
19) Maintain and enhance competency levels
20) Identify future training requirements and achieve goals to increase performance
Requirements
1) BS in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology Diploma
2) CET registration
3) 5 – 8 years of landfill designing experience
4) Hands-on field experience
5) Expertise in using AutoCAD
6) Knowledge of WHMIS
