About our client
Our client is a full service infrastructure development company that provides innovative strategic plans for the creation, management, and operation of a wide variety of projects. It has business units involved in aggregate production, road building, waste management, and land development.

Responsibilities
1) Provide safety orientation for all site personnel to ensure that safety and environmental regulations are adhered to
2) Review work (on-site) for compliance with technical/contract requirements
3) Liaise with engineers and sub-contractors to implement design changes as well as deal with issues promptly and efficiently
4) Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure schedule compliance
5) Liaise with regulating agencies to ensure compliance with respect to various employment, labour, and safety regulations
6) Prepare daily and weekly site reports to provide current updates to managers, clients, and stakeholders
7) Assist the Project Manager in calculating and organizing the amount of labour and equipment required to effectively staff each project
8) Monitor supplies and review supplier invoices to identify discrepancies
9) Assist with hiring sub-contractors (as required) to complete each job
10) Ensure supplies required for the project arrive in a timely manner
11) Prepare and review preliminary, topographic surveys, and site layouts to analyze survey data
12) Analyze data to provide detailed time and usage reports for managers to assess client service requirements
13) Prepare as-built designs and drawings through manual as well as computer-assisted drafting (CAD) to create clear, and accurate designs
14) Liaise with engineers to coordinate on-site specialized inspection/testing (i.e. structural, geotechnical, etc.)
Requirements
1) BS in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology Diploma
2) CET registration
3) 5 – 8 years of landfill designing experience
4) Hands-on field experience
5) Expertise in using AutoCAD
6) Knowledge of WHMIS
