About our client

Senior Electrical Engineer California
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Coordinate work on large institutional/industrial projects of the Electrical Design Team (through schematic design development and contract document phase)
2) Conduct meetings
3) Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
4) Coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule
5) Conduct work sessions at the project site along with Project Manager
6) Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
7) Write/edit electrical specifications
8) Select equipment, electrical systems and devices
9) Coordinate and assist with requests for information, changing proposals and changing orders
10) Incorporate changes into the project documents
11) Provide construction contract administration (as needed)
12) Conduct QA/QC on the work of other electrical engineers, electrical coordinators or technicians (as needed)
Requirements
1) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with an emphasis on electrical studies)
2) PE license
3) LEED registration preferred
4) 5+ years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting, power and systems)
5) Experience in working with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred
6) Knowledge of California Codes
7) Experience in sustainable design and corrections design
8) Proficient in computers (AutoCAD, MS Office and electrical design software)
