Position Location Structural Engineer Michigan Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Handle designing of utility, education, industrial, healthcare, governmental and institutional projects 2) Manage structural engineering, designing and coordination of multi-discipline projects 3) Prepare and check structural calculations (as per AISC and ACI codes) 4) Create designs for gravity loads, wind and seismic analysis, reinforced concrete frames and foundations, steel frames as well as computer modeling 5) Review shop drawings 6) Develop structural layouts, dimensions, sections and details 7) Produce final project drawings as well as specifications and construction observations Requirements 1) BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis a plus) 2) P. Eng. license 3) EIT certification 4) 5 years of experience in a consulting firm 5) Expertise in Mathcad, STAADPRO and AutoCAD a plus 6) Experience in industrial/process facilities, education/healthcare facilities, chiller plants, substations and distribution projects 7) Excellent communication and organizational skills 8) Willingness to travel (limited)
