About our client
Our client is a professional service firm of 24 architects, planners and interior designers. The company practices on a regional basis with clients in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa. Their expertise includes educational, healthcare and recreation facilities as well as commercial, governmental and cultural facilities, churches, multi-family and residences, preservation, restoration and adaptive reuse.

Architect Project Designer Sioux Falls, SD
Salary Reports to
Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management
Responsibilities
1) Develop design concepts
2) Prepare documents as quickly as possible
3) Ensure client satisfaction
4) Correct or update design documents
5) Develop solutions to design problems
6) Prepare drawings, 3-D renderings and models as per client requirements as well as company standards
Requirements
1) Degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
2) Willingness to pursue additional training to upgrade any skill deficiencies and improve education
3) License and/or registration as an Architect is preferred
4) Valid driver’s license with proof of insurability
5) 2 years of project designing and drafting experience in an architectural environment preferred
6) Knowledge of designing principles, techniques and tools involved in production of precision graphic designing models and drawings
7) Working knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction or repairing of buildings or other structures
8) Expertise in MS Office, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Rev-It software
9) Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
10) Ability to speak effectively to clients or employees of an organization
11) Ability to use concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area, circumference, volume, basic algebra and geometry to practical situations
12) Ability to accept management directives to accomplish daily objectives
13) Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and other documents such as safety rules, procedure manual and governmental regulations
14) Ability to use plotters, scanners and digital cameras
15) Ability to complete and submit job documents on time
16) Ability to interpret and follow project specifications consistent with direction provided by the Creative Director and/or the Project Manager
17) Creative, detail-oriented, self-starter with resolve to maintain the goals, objectives and underlying principles of the company
