Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Provide detailed take-offs with labor and material pricing entries
2) Supervise and coordinate work affecting mechanical discipline estimates
3) Develop bid strategies and closing of mechanical estimates
4) Work with other discipline estimators to develop mechanical scope of work and costs for multidiscipline estimates
5) Maintain active communication with all tendering authorities including owners, architects and engineers
6) Assist in establishing and pricing of indirect costs
7) Provide support to field operations regarding mechanical estimates |
| Requirements |
1) Degree (4 year) in a technical field as well as training in mechanical/metal study
2) Minimum 10 years of progressive estimating experience in the mechanical discipline
3) Expertise in packaged mechanical estimating software an asset
4) Superb mathematical and analytical skills
5) Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
6) Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
7) Ability to work effectively with a team environment
