Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Work on mining projects with emphasis on waste rock disposal designs (from conceptual through to detailed engineering phases) 2) Mentor in-house personnel 3) Resolve technical design queries and ensure that engineering principles are applied 4) Coordinate and implement the preparation of all assigned project documentation (designs, specifications, calculations, packages, manuals and engineering reports) 5) Lead the design teams and manage subconsultants (as required) 6) Monitor projects from initial to final stages as well as ensure systems are safe (conceptually and operationally) 7) Plan, schedule and engineer projects to meet client requirements and expectations 8) Liaise with client representatives, engineers, project leaders and construction leaders (as required) to ensure all project requirements are understood, communicated and implemented 9) Ensure compliance with all company's standards |
| Requirements |
1) BS in Geotechnical/Geological Engineering or BS in Civil Engineering with extensive experience in geotechnical environment 2) Minimum 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience 3) Experience in mine infrastructure foundation an asset 4) Excellent communication skills 5) Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills with high level of initiative 6) Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and clients 7) Ability to work in a team environment |
