Management
Responsibilities
1) Design, interpret and present transport and travel surveys 2) Develop options for testing as potential solutions to transport problems 3) Use mathematical and computer simulation models to forecast the effects of different road improvements, policy changes and/or public transport schemes 4) Evaluate the benefits and costs of different scheme options or strategies 5) Manage studies and projects, often within tight time and budget limits 6) Assess the transport effects and infrastructure requirements of new developments to support planning applications 7) Liaise and negotiate with different parties, e.g. planning and highways authorities, residents' groups, developers, transport providers, etc. 8) Write bids for the funding of projects 9) Prepare technical reports and documentation related to current or prospective projects
Requirements
1) BS in Civil Engineering 2) P. Eng. license 3) 5 – 10 years of transportation planning/project management experience 4) Expertise in transport modeling techniques 5) Good communication skills 6) Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills 7) Ability to work independently and under pressure
