Latest Job Opening for Manufacturing & Consulting Engineering  Job #08135 About our client Our client is a large, well-known firm of engineers, planners and business consultants providing professional services to clients in 4 continents Position Location Mechanical Estimator Southwestern Canada Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Supervise and coordinate work affecting mechanical discipline estimates 2) Provide detailed forecasts with material pricing entries 3) Liaise with tendering authorities including owners, architects and engineers 4) Review specifications 5) Provide support to field operations regarding mechanical estimates 6) Assist in establishing and pricing of indirect costs 7) Develop bid strategies and closing of mechanical estimates 8) Support the needs of piping, structural, pressure vessel, packaging and installation estimating Requirements 1) Degree (4 year) 2) 5 – 10 years of experience in the area of material take-offs 3) Expertise in packaged mechanical estimating software an asset 4) Familiarity with CSA and ASME codes 5) Excellent analytical skills 6) Ability to work effectively with a team environment
