Position Location Electrical Designer Eastern US Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Coordinate project electrical design activities with piping, civil and instrumentation disciplines 2) Perform layout studies and develop scope of work for design/drafting activities 3) Prepare project schedule for engineering 4) Perform progress reporting on design and drafting activities 5) Supervise electrical designers and drafters 6) Monitor and control project schedule, electrical design/drafting hours and material cost 7) Ensure consistency and integrity of electrical design throughout project and review design for logic and functionality 8) Provide construction support at job site and perform pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systems when required Requirements 1) BS in Electrical Engineering or related field 2) Strong design skills of plant power, grounding, lighting and electric heat tracing layouts and associated single lines, schedules, schematics and wiring diagrams 3) Minimum 15 years of practical experience in the design, construction and start-up for low and medium voltage plant distribution systems 4) Experience in high voltage switchyard layout design an asset
