Position Location Civil Engineer Illinois Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Meet with project managers and superintendents to gather, analyze and resolve field construction design and engineering problems 2) Prepare engineering designs, as-built drawings and designs for forms, shoring and temporary works 3) Generate drawings from sketches and existing manufacturer’s manuals for the fabrication, repairing, and maintenance of construction equipment and tools 4) Ensure that all in-house prepared engineering drawings meet company quality standards 5) Provide technical support to project management and field staff on all project drawings 6) Develop and update field work procedures in consultation with project managers and field engineers 7) Update and maintain the company manual and database 8) Perform additional engineering assignments Requirements 1) BS in Civil Engineering 2) P. Eng. license 3) Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry as Civil or Structural Engineer 4) Expertise in preparing engineering drawings and applying construction engineering techniques to support the building of commercial, industrial and civil infrastructure projects 5) Proficiency in construction techniques and civil engineering methodologies 6) Expertise in AutoCAD to prepare and modify engineering drawings 7) Keen attention to detail
