Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Facilitates the optimization of the companies refining system by coordinating Commercial Department and Refinery Planning functions
2) Assists the Supply & Trading personnel in the evaluation of crude, intermediate, and blendstock purchases and the Refinery Planners in optimizing refinery product mix
3) Reviews feedstock and product schedules to identify opportunistic trading windows and requirements for supplemental refinery input
4) Performs incremental refining margin analysis and calculates relative refining values to assist in monthly crude selection
5) Develops forward pricing forecasts based on input from the Commercial Department to be utilized by the Refinery Planners for optimization, planning, and budgeting functions |
| Requirements |
1) B.S. in Chemical Engineering
2) 3 years of process engineering experience in the refining or chemical industry
3) 5 years of short range planning and optimization experience in the refining or chemical industry including the use of linear programs and economic analysis
4) Aspentech PIMS experience
5) Strong self-initiative to identify optimization opportunities
6) Ability to formulate plans and complete tasks by “influence” rather than by direct authority |
