Management |
| Responsibilities |
1) Prepare project specifications for material and equipment purchase and installation 2) Design electrical substation facilities including site and buswork layouts, ground grids, controls, protection, and metering 3) Deliver accurate designs that will meet industry standards and specifications 4) Review internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practice, and constructability 5) Resolve site queries and attend site meetings as well as perform site inspections during the construction phase of projects 6) Maintain complete project documentation with respect to substation design and construction including all completion packages, as-built requirements, and return data information 7) Maintain good working relationships with material suppliers, contractors, and any others that affect the quality, schedule, and cost of projects 8) Mentor developing engineers within the department |
| Requirements |
1) Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution 2) APEGBC registration preferred 3) 5+ years of experience in transmission substation design 4) Knowledge of Canadian and British Columbia codes and standards 5) Knowledge of OH&S regulations, CSA and AECUC codes an asset 6) Working knowledge of CEDEG design software |
