Position Location Piping Engineer Southern US Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Prepare detailed material requisitions and delivery schedules and expedite vendors 2) Liaise with design groups as well as other mechanical engineers, process engineers and procurement group members 3) Design piping material specifications to international codes to include ASME/ANSI standards 4) Prepare specification of pipe materials, valves and special piping items of specific applications 5) Prepare narrative specifications to identify procedures for testing, welding, painting, insulation, materials identification and tagging 6) Provide technical recommendations of pipe materials, valves and special piping items suppliers 7) Coordinate requisitions for enquiry and purchase 8) Make technical evaluations of supplier quotations 9) Check vendor's drawings and other vendor documentation prior to delivery Requirements 1) P. Eng license or eligible for registration as a Mechanical Engineer 2) 4 – 5 years of experience in engineering process equipment and piping 3) ASME and ANSI code work experience 4) Excellent project management skills 5) Good interpersonal and communication skills
