Position Location Manufacturing Engineer North Carolina Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Plant Manager Responsibilities 1) Provide manufacturing technical direction and technical assistance for new and existing products, including process design facility layout, capital equipment and tooling requirements 2) Support the launch of new products and changes to existing products, maintaining timing as well as technical requirements of the project 3) Develop, document and implement safety systems and practices compliant with company and provincial health and safety regulations 4) Maintain process documentation for existing programs and create appropriate documentation for new programs 5) Implement continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, reduce costs and improve safety 6) Assist QA, purchasing and production in the resolution of vendor and internal quality issues Requirements 1) BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology or Engineering Technology 2) Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a fabrication or assembly intensive facility 3) Knowledge of productivity improvements, new tooling and capital equipment acquisitions 4) Expertise in process qualifications, safety systems design and implementation, resolution of quality and technical problems as well as process design 5) Hands-on problem solver 6) Excellent written and verbal and communication skills
