| Responsibilities |
1) Work as a part of the Oil Sands/Heavy Oil Team 2) Execute construction projects of up to $4M to expand and modify existing oil sands & heavy oil pipeline systems 3) Handle the full scope of project management as well as creating project proposals, preparing estimates, coordinating construction, etc. 4) Prepare designs, plans, drawings, bids, and contracts 5) Identify and requisition materials and services 6) Coordinate outside resources to execute construction projects 7) Identify opportunities and create solutions for ongoing maintenance, optimization, and technical challenges of the team 8) Liaise with Operations to provide information and technical analysis |
| Requirements |
1) Degree in Engineering 2) APEGGA registration or a technical certificate as well as registration with ASET 3) 4 – 8 years of related experience in pipelines and pipeline facility construction 4) Knowledge of relevant codes, regulatory bodies, and requirements to complete pipeline projects in Alberta 5) Understanding of large and small diameter liquids pipelines and pump stations, hydraulics, pumps, tanks, meter proving, pigging, integrity, and corrosion management 6) Knowledge of oil sands and heavy oil transportation and processing
7) Strong problem-solving skills |
