Position Location Mechanical Engineer, Utilities Oregon Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Design heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems 2) Oversee project planning, task management, submittal reviews, preparing tender documents, technical specifications, reports and estimates 3) Provide direction to technicians working in the team 4) Manage consultants and contractors to ensure accuracy, achievement of required results and adherence to accepted engineering practices 5) Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external colleagues in order to determine relative priorities 6) Assess the impact of work on others and resolve issues of concern Requirements 1) Degree in Mechanical Engineering 2) Minimum 4 years of experience in designing industrial HVAC systems (including dust and fume control systems) 3) Experience in designing and implementing projects consistent with the appropriate standards 4) Knowledge of standards and codes (ASHRAE, NFPA) 5) Good leadership, technical writing, analytical and interpersonal skills 6) Proficient in MS Office
