Position Location Hydroelectric Engineer Southeastern US Salary Reports to Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience Management Responsibilities 1) Manage projects and coordinate a Design Team to complete detailed design 2) Handle tender documentation and bid evaluation 3) Conceptualize project layouts, optimize designs and write technical reports 4) Lead a team of engineers to undertake various types of studies on hydropower projects as required 5) Perform detailed design and implementation of HEP schemes and submission of deliverables 6) Interface with both in-house, client design and project teams 7) Design electrical facilities for hydroelectric power plants 8) Work on major projects, both new facilities and rebuilding of existing ones 9) Handle preliminary and detailed engineering for electrical systems for the hydroelectric power plants 10) Prepare technical specifications, study reports, unifilar designs and implementation plans Requirements 1) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 2) P. Eng. license 3) 6+ years of design experience in the energy sector (dams, bridges, etc.) 4) Experience in structural and hydraulic design of weirs, hydraulic structures, intake structures, penstocks and powerhouses for the hydropower sector 5) Experience in the consulting industry and dealing directly with clients 6) Superb leadership skills
